Origins of Container Service C. Groenenboom

1961

In March of 1961, Kees Groenenboom undertook his first business venture at the age of 21: a transport company in Ridderkerk. The transport company grew from a sole-proprietor business into a strong, solid company, specialised in sea container transport.

1986

In 1986, Container Service C. Groenenboom was founded in Oosterhout. It evolved from a container repair business into a specialist in custom containers, construction and preservation. The strength of the company lies in the versatility of disciplines. In addition to standard operations, the most specialised orders can be processed and fulfilled.

Takeover Container Service C. Groenenboom

2009

On 30 December 2009, Kees’ youngest daughter took over the business. Kristel Groenenboom became the new owner of the container factory in Oosterhout, Container Service C. Groenenboom.

About us

Container Service C. Groenenboom is a family business with more than 30 years of experience, based in Oosterhout (North Brabant). In 27 covered industrial buildings, a blasting hall and a paint shop – all on a surface area of 25,000m2 – we work hard to deliver a complete package.  The strength of the company lies in its versatility and craftsmanship. We repair both old waste containers and reefers. At the same time, new containers are constructed, blasted and painted at the same location for the Ministry of Defence and the offshore industry. We enjoy innovative challenges and are not afraid to tackle something new. The crazier, the better!

Extension of annual 2016-2017 contract with Beamix for silo renovation programme

Beamix has given a clear signal that the construction industry is on the up by extending the contract to renovate more than 60 silos. Groenenboom will carry out the complete package of services for renovating the Beamix silos. This includes modification, construction, preparation and lettering.
