Live Blog | Construction of Our New Paint Shop & Blasting Hall
Construction in full progress: foundation completed and groundwork underway
Following the installation of the first pile, construction is now fully underway. The foundation of our new spray painting facility has been completed, and the conduit pipes for cables and installations have already been installed underground. These are key preparatory steps for the further construction of the building and its technical installations.
Work is progressing at a steady pace, and the outline of the new facility is becoming increasingly visible. With each phase, we move closer to the realisation of a modern, sustainable and future-proof spray painting and blasting facility, fully aligned with our growth and ambitions.

First pile installed for our new spray painting facility
On Thursday, 2 October, we reached an important milestone: the first pile for the construction of our new, sustainable spray painting facility was installed. We celebrated this special moment together with Alderman Dees Melsen, our construction supervisor Anton van Gemert, and our contractor Molenschot.
After a long preparation period and the successful completion of the permitting process, construction has now truly begun. The new spray painting facility will be fully gas-free and equipped with heat pumps and solar panels. It will also feature a smart logistical layout with overhead crane systems and a rail system. With this investment, we are not only increasing our capacity, but also taking a significant step forward in sustainability and innovation within our sector. For our family-owned company, this is a milestone we are truly proud of.
A video of the first pile installation was also recorded, offering a great behind-the-scenes look at the start of construction.

A major step forward in capacity, innovation, and sustainability
After an intensive preparation phase, it’s finally happening: the construction of our new industrial paint shop and blasting hall has officially begun! With the building permit now secured, the first steps are in motion – and we’d love to take you along on this exciting journey. Through this live blog, we’ll keep you updated on the progress, milestones, and background of this ambitious expansion.
Why a new paint shop?
Demand for high-quality preservation continues to grow, and to keep serving our clients quickly and professionally in the future, we are investing in a completely new paint shop and blasting facility. This isn’t just a big leap in capacity – it also sets a new benchmark for sustainability and technical innovation within our industry.
Sustainable and powerful
What makes this new facility unique is our full commitment to sustainable energy – something rarely seen at this scale in our sector. The new paint shop will include:
- A heat pump system – completely independent of natural gas
- Solar panels on the roof
- Energy-efficient heating and ventilation systems
With these solutions, we significantly reduce our CO₂ emissions while maintaining full performance and efficiency.
Smart logistics & modern technology
In addition to sustainability, logistics and workflow were key considerations in the design. The paint shop will feature an integrated rail system and overhead cranes, allowing us to move large structures and containers safely and efficiently between workstations. The new blasting hall will be equipped with the latest high-performance equipment, enabling us to achieve the highest surface preparation grades quickly and consistently.
Operations continue as normal
During construction, our production will continue without interruption. The existing paint shop will remain fully operational until the new facility is complete. Only then will the old building be decommissioned and removed. This ensures a smooth transition and uninterrupted service for our clients.
